Peak Finder is an application designed to assist users in locating peaks, hiking trails, logging ascents, and creating customized trekking plans.
The app offers a user-friendly interface for seamlessly inputting ascent data either manually or by importing GPX files of activities.
Additionally, Peak Finder incorporates a background location monitoring feature, which can be disabled as per user preference, that ensures automatic updates of offline peak regions for instant access to offline maps.
Moreover, the background monitor employs adaptive technology to track summited peaks efficiently, adjusting intervals based on geographical location, ensuring accurate summit data retrieval even without ongoing activity recording.
One of Peak Finder's notable features is the Eagle Eye function, which when activated shares real-time location updates while in mountainous areas. Users engaging in Eagle Eye activities can view the current and past hiking locations of friends within the mountains.
